1600 hrs: Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the reserve until sunset.

Samburu National Reserve is renowned for its rich wildlife and stunning birdlife. The reserve’s semi-arid landscape, along with the unique culture of the Samburu people, gives it a distinct charm. Samburu is home to several rare species, including the Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffes, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and Somali Ostrich, which are not commonly found in other parts of Kenya. Visitors also have the chance to encounter the Big Cats – lions, cheetahs, and leopards – as well as a variety of other animals such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impalas, and waterbucks.

Birdwatchers will be delighted with the extensive birdlife, which includes species like the kingfisher, bee-eaters, tawny eagle, guineafowl, yellow-throated spurfowl, lilac-breasted roller, red-billed hornbill, secretary bird, Verreaux's eagle, superb starling, yellow-billed hornbill, and vultures. Located about 150 km from Nairobi, Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned not only for its vibrant wildlife but also for its stunning lake, which serves as a key attraction. Originally established as a bird sanctuary, the park was later designated a national park to protect its diverse ecosystem. It is particularly famous for being a Rhino Sanctuary and is home to both black and white rhinos.

The park is known for its greater and lesser flamingos, though their presence varies with seasonal conditions. Additionally, it boasts one of the highest bird species diversities in the region. Wildlife enthusiasts will spot a range of animals here, including gazelles, impalas, the endangered Rothschild giraffe, warthogs, lions, and Deffassa waterbucks. Buffaloes and baboons are also frequent residents. Notably, while the park is home to an incredible array of wildlife, elephants are absent from this particular sanctuary.

Masai Mara offers a rich variety of wildlife in abundance throughout the year. You can easily spot animals such as lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, elephants, gazelles, impalas, and many other antelopes. In addition to the wildlife, the park also hosts a wide variety of birdlife.

One of the most impressive features of the park is the annual migration of thousands of wildebeests and zebras from the plains of the Serengeti, crossing borders and rivers to reach the Mara (occurring between June and October). This migration is tracked by predators, including lions, vultures, and hyenas. The most exciting part of the event is witnessing the crossing of the Mara River, where the animals are often attacked by crocodiles.
