Day-by-Day Itinerary
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
0800 Hrs: Meet your driver guide at the airport or hotel, followed by a tour briefing. Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch.
1600 Hrs: Game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park until sunset.
Lake Nakuru National Park is located about 156 km northwest of Nairobi and is centered around Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake famous for its birdlife. The park is one of Kenya’s top birdwatching destinations, with over 450 recorded bird species, and is especially known for greater and lesser flamingos, whose numbers vary seasonally. It is also a renowned rhino sanctuary, protecting both black and white rhinos. Other wildlife includes Rothschild’s giraffe, lions, leopards, buffalo, waterbuck, impala, zebra, warthogs and baboons. Elephants are not resident in the park.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
0730 Hrs: Check out from the lodge and head to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley, with a stopover at the Rift Valley viewing point.
Continue via Narok and arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or tent.
1600 Hrs: Evening game drive in Masai Mara until sunset
Masai Mara is known for its abundant wildlife year-round, including lions, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, crocodiles and many other species. The park also boasts diverse birdlife. A highlight of Masai Mara is the annual migration (June to October) of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti, crossing rivers to reach the Mara, often pursued by predators like lions and hyenas. The dramatic Mara River crossing, where animals face crocodile attacks, is a particularly thrilling spectacle.

Masai Mara National Reserve
0500 Hrs: Optional hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara (extra cost) with a bush breakfast and champagne, returning to your lodge by 0900 Hrs.
Alternatively, enjoy a 0630 Hrs morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast.
Lunch at the lodge followed by an afternoon at leisure.
1600 Hrs: Another game drive in Masai Mara until late evening.
Meals and overnight at Mara Sarova Tented Camp (Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast)
Depart for Nairobi
After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Upon your arrival in Nairobi in the afternoon, the driver will transfer you to your hotel or to the airport for your flight home.
